Message from the President Mr. Shatrughan Dawani

The mission of the IndianAmerican Club is to preserve Indian Culture and to promote diversity. We focus on strengthening, unifying and building community spirit through art and history projects thus improving quality of life. Promoting social harmony among diverse groups of people is an essential element of a peaceful and productive community.

There are 3000 residents living in Rossmoor Active Adult Community in Monroe Township. We requested the Middlesex County(NJ) Cultural and Heritage Commission to fund us to conduct oral history project of foreign born residents in Rossmoor.

We are grateful to Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Middlesex County (NJ) Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey Historical Commission/Department of State for the generous grant.

Our thanks to the following foreign-born Americans who shared their success stories with us. They allowed us to step into their world, sharing priceless experiences and memories which we will remember forever..
